BANGLADESHI PM WAZED IN KATHMANDU

Kathmandu, Nov 25: Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina Wazed, has arrived here at 4:15 pm today to participate in the 18th SAARC summit scheduled from November 26 to 27.

Chief Protocol Officer Kali Prasad Pokhrel and Bangladeshi Ambassador to Nepal, Mashfee Binte Shams, welcomed Bangladeshi Prime Minister Wazed at Tribhuvan International Airport.

Similarly, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development, Prakash Man Singh, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Deepak Chandra Amatya, Chief Secretary Leelamani Poudyal and Basanta Kumar Gautam, the Chief Personal Secretary of Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, welcomed Prime Minister Wazed at the podium, constructed to welcome the dignitaries.

On the occasion, the Nepal Army played a Mangal Dhun (auspicious tune) in honour of the Bangladeshi Prime Minister. After that, the national anthems of both countries were played.
