CPDCC CHAIR SEEKS ADVICE FROM INTELLECTUALS TO END DEADLOCK

Kathmandu, Nov 5: The CA Constitutional-Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee Chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai today held discussions with intellectuals to find a solution to the increasing polarization between the major parties.

In the discussion that took place at Singh Durbar this afternoon, intellectuals stressed that the parties would be able to reach a point of agreement through exercising of flexibility in their respective stances and not taking the proposals presented at the Committee as the final outcome.

They emphasized on efforts for a consensus while urging the opposition parties to not resort to agitation.

The intellectuals further suggested the parties to focus on the possible areas of agreement and not hold lengthy and unnecessary discussions, according to CA member Shyam Shrestha who took part in the meeting.

The meeting was attended by Prof Krishna Khanal, Prof Krishna Pokharel, Prof Pitambar Sharma and Prof Krishna Hachethu. RSS
